2018- we've got this! Here's to being a recovering fat girl!

Why I'm a recovering fat girl

So, a little bit about me and where I'm coming from. I'm 24 and live in good ole Indianapolis- I love the Circle City- so don't hate. I have a mild form of Muscular Dystrophy that mainly causes me slight pain, poor balance, fatigue and falls when walking too far, and weak hands and feet. This isn't me complaining- just stating the facts because quite a few of my fat girl struggles also come from me being a crippled girl too. I've always been a bigger girl, but my last year of college and first year post college caused me to gain a considerable amount of weight. I started college in 2011 weighting about 170lbs. At my highest when I started this weight loss journey at the end of 2015, I was about 245lbs. I am only 5'2", so according to those fancy dancy BMI calculators, I should weigh about 130lbs to be a 'healthy' weight. I know there is no way in hell I'll ever weight that much, nor do I ever wish to weight that much. I'm a big girl, always ...

Yes, I'm a recovering fat girl...

Hello and welcome to my first blog post! I'm creating this blog to share my journey of recovering from being a fat girl. Over the past year, I've been dieting and exercising and have had countless moments where I just laugh at myself and say "this is what its like to be a recovering fat girl". Loosing weight isn't easy, and its usually not fun- but sometimes the stuff that happens is just so darn funny I can't help but laugh! My hope is that if just one person that reads this, can understand the struggles and can use this as motivation in their journey to becoming a recovering fat girl (or boy- I'm not judging)- then it will be a success. Who knows, maybe I'm the only one reading this, but if it helps me continue on my journey, then its a win for me! To start, I think I'm hilarious- I laugh at myself all the time, with the things I think and say. Chances are no one else thinks I'm funny- but I sure do! This blog will be full of my bad jok...
